2006 was a very busy year for guitarist/singer/songwriter NELSON KING. Over the last 12 months he has played various festivals including the Black Horse and Wye Blues festivals, the Brighton Komedia, a live session for BBC Southern counties, released two albums of all-new material, formed a new band and signed a worldwide publishing and distribution deal. A 15 date UK tour is also planned for 2007 with upcoming band Summer Born Wild as special guests. The new line up features Dave Farrant (guitar), Dan Carey (drums) and Craig Devlin (bass).
Nelson's debut album 'Electric' was played on radio stations in 15 countries, received glowing reviews and even appeared in various blues and radio charts worldwide, featuring in Dutch radio station 'Blue Ears' top 25 over a year after it's release.
During 2005 Nelson signed to independent label HTT and released 'Acoustic', the follow-up to 'Electric'. The album received critical acclaim both in the UK and USA.
MusicsearchUKwrote:"As a singer/songwriter, Nelson King could well be one of the best kept secrets around at the moment - his songs immediately putting him up there with people like Joseph Arthur and Micah P. Hinson - a singer/songwriter to cherish", while Glasswerks said,"You realize you've finally filled the space in the record collection between Blood on the Tracks and Harvest Moon".
